More than a thousand years ago, the Roma people's journey began in India, leading them through the mountains and plains of the Middle East, across Europe, and eventually to Estonia. This journey unfolded not only along roads and paths, but also through stories, songs, dances and memories that have been passed down from generation to generation.
The concert performance brings this story to audiences through the performances of the dance group Romaška and the Latvian dance group Alegria, presenting Roma dances, songs and legends of their travels. The legends will be narrated by Evelin Senkevitš, while the songs will be performed by Irina Hella Kolomiets.
We welcome everyone to the courtyard of the Estonian Road Museum's Post Station on Saturday, 11 July, starting at 1:00 PM.
The concert performance is free to attend in the outdoor areas of the Road Museum. Standard museum admission applies for visits to the museum's indoor exhibitions and exhibition spaces.
